Why did Bowls S.A. choose to hold the tournament during the holiday season when accommodation costs are at the highest?
By delaying it by one week could have saved the bowlers thousands in accommodation costs."
While i can appreciate the fact that, for the average bowler, the costs can be horrendous, but for some, it does allow the gentleman bowler the opportunity of taking his family along to the coast, to either support him in his endeavours or perhaps the wife and kids can spend time relaxing at the various sights and venues Durban has to offer. An opportunity that just may not be available had the dates been one week later. Just a thought...
