I think that it is time that the various district committee's got their heads together to draw up 1 calender for the bowling year.

This would enable clubs from different districts, especially neighbouring districts to support each other when much needed fund raising club events are taking place.

For example, we are an EGBA club (Modderfontein) who are supported regularly by CGBA clubs on our fund raising bowls days and social events.
However, whenever a CGBA club invites us to participate in their fund raisers (Morningsides Jock Strap for example), we're playing district trips.

Surely it can't be that difficult to get one standard calender?

I totally agree with you maybe you should get your club to put a proposal together and forward it to EGB for action by the northern bowls board at least in this way the the four "gauteng" districts would be on a similar calendar
