Bowls South Africa, the executive committe, that is, has been the butt of many complaints by bowlers for several years.
It appears, in the view of many bowlers, that the ruling body of bowls in South Africa does not come up to scratch. Some of the rulings they have made and decisions they have taken, do not go down too well with the bowlers.
But are they really as bad as many bowlers would have them?
To get this forum going with something we know is contentious, let's hear from bowlers what they feel about the adminsitration of bowls by the national committe. Also you might like to add some comments on bowls administration in general.
For instance, one bowling friend who has only been in the game for a short while and migrated from another sport where she had considerable succes told me: "My trouble with them is that there is no one to look up to; in other sports I have always found there was. It was great to be able to say to a friend who asked who I was talking to, 'That's my president.' I don't see anybody like that in bowls."
